Yeah decentralized, open protocols almost never catch on, just like SMTP, RSS, Bitcoin, TCP/IP, BitTorrent and all the other failed ones. 😘
I think you are focused on niche products that had unsustainable foundations, one of many examples like IPFS, which you are correct about. But this, imo, is missing the forest for the trees.
To the contrary of your point, the only things that can be truly universal and practically dominate the entire ecosystem indefinitely (until the next era of massive systemic disruptions arrive), are specifically open decentralized protocols. The limitations of centralized systems are much harder to break through after reaching a certain size, especially when trying to break into unfriendly jurisdictions. Especially when trying to maintain its original purpose.

Totally agree. But this sounds like a project that would take a decade to catch on. Part of me wants to speed it up.
Also there are brands and products that I would be interested in learning more about. But will the message reach me through my social graph or does it need to be pushed along more?
I would love to see more brands and products embrace Nostr. Just being here would earn tons of good will with me.

My husband has studied personalities a lot, and I love watching him interact with people and seeing their reactions when he starts to share with them how they work!
A lot of people don't feel seen or understood, so the gift he gives them when he basically deciphers them is so cool!
Knowing oneself is important because it helps with decision making.
Knowing how others work is also helpful as it improves all relationships. Knowing why someone does something differently than ourselves removed the friction and or annoyance that otherwise so often hurts relationships.

He had originally bought it in 2012 for around $500.

Так обидно, когда читаешь такой мангу, а она бац! И закончилась.
И думаешь может автор устал/заболел/умер, но нет, смотришь — в оригинале ещё несколько томов лежат — это переводчик просто взял и забил. А потом никто не пришёл ему на смену.
И сидишь ты такой, с нишевой мангой, про которую слышали только полтора землекопа и знаешь, что уже никогда не узнаешь финал, потому что язык оригинала не знаешь, а переводчик на неё уже не найдётся...
(Я, если что, про мангу "Guns and Stamps", на которую английский переводчик забил где-то в 2020 году, а русский переводчик по всей видимости попытался прорываться через оригинал, но у него не получилось и он забил на 4 главы позже уже в 2022 году. С тех пор я регулярно проверяю, но вот уже 5 лет как переводы манги не появляются. И, видимо, уже никогда не появятся)

Oh yes. I found personality test interesting before I met my husband, but he's really studied it, and as he wanted to understand himself and me better, he got a book called, "Please Understand Me II", and one of the things he learned about my personality is that we actually feel pain from tension/conflict.
This nugget greatly helped us as it cleared up why I was reacting "strangely" compared to him and his personality who enjoys debating (not the contentious kind)
I seek to reconcile as soon as possible and he wants to explore through debate, but I can only handle a little bit of that before it gets too painful, unless done very gently. So he gets his debating need met with other people than me, and we're both having a good time 💪😊

I'm no expert whatsoever. But they do play with the proofs already, so it's hard to doxx the parties. There's some sort of best practices how the proofs should be composed into a transaction with respect to privacy. I've read that on many occasions. I'm sure calle can point you to a right direction.
