There were no gatekeepers. Each bulletin board was run by a different person, and some accepted everything, while others had their own rules. But anyone could become a board host—and anyone could read the boards freely. It wasn’t as fast or tidy as Cacheville, but it was open, free, and no one could silence a message as long as someone, somewhere, was willing to pin it.
And so, though Cacheville and Nosteria lived side by side, they served very different needs. One made things faster by remembering the past. The other made things freer by sharing the present with anyone who would listen.

Thank you for taking the time to try and understand some of the nuances. I had a fairly good idea, but not exact. Looking forward to seeing potential responses, but seems unlikely that anything like this is a good idea for a monetary network.
I listened to a lot of discussions for ordinals/runes and I just don't see these uses needing to be directly on the timechain. Seems as if they could be on an L2 or some other solution, but generally people seem to want to jam extra info it into the timechain in a sub-optimal way.
After reading a few posts I understand that there are some rules about not personally "targeting" someone on the github, but pointing out facts/concerns and not being able discuss it as adults is childish. Instead of banning, maybe all it would take is removing personal name(s) from the original post and make it focused on the incentive problem and the company?

I think the biggest problem with Core is that they’re removing multiple things at once with the PR.
The number of op_returns on outputs,
The size of the op_returns, and the configuration to change what size op_return your node accepts.
And you have to remember that L2’s and L3’s don’t exist without L1. If the fees get artificially pushed higher because space for transactional data is artificially lowered, the fee problem will just get extended to layer two and layer three to meet the artificial demand.
Not to mention, it does create a larger overhead for new nodes because of an increased UTXO set. You run into physical limitations like more CPU and RAM needed to sync and maintain state
