I think a lot of people, especially in my generation, don’t realize how important your credit score actually is, and the damage it can do to you if you don’t take good care of it. Liberty Street did an analysis: It found that each time you miss a student loan payment (a delinquency), your credit score drops by around 150 points.
So just to paint a picture of what bad credit can do to you:
1) You pay higher interest rates; you’re seen as risky to lenders so you have to pay more on any loans you receive in the future.
2) It can affect your employment. A lot of employers actually check your credit, and if you have bad credit it can cost you a job.
3) It affects your ability to rent. Landlords also check credit. If you have a low score you pay a higher security deposit, and in many cases you’re flat out rejected.
And 4) It simply limits your access to credit. You can get rejected for mortgages, basic loans, and even credit cards.

oof... i've got my housing settled for another year, gonna try and stack hard this coming year so i can just get the boat already by the end of it and live in that, starting with leaving this island and probably heading west across the atlantic, to maybe mexico and drop anchor in a marina in a small mexican fishing town
i'm quite sick of the stress in my life at the moment, i am getting the feeling that once i've delivered a decent product for my current project i'm going to try and find new work... maybe i can get lucky even with Trump reshoring everything, to get a working visa and actually already move to USA, since after all i am an experienced systems programmer getting to a level i'd call advanced... a job in texas or something would be nice, but i'll not be flying there, i'm taking me and my cat by boat, fuck it, yolo and all that, i can stack enough for a 40 year old boat in good working condition with a diesel engine, a sloop, that will still be mobile even without any fuel
probably would end up selling it at some point after if i manage to get a job somewhere in USA and can physically be at the lab where i will be working
just feeling exhausted today
still gotta do a heap more work as i found a bug in my code and i'm part way done fixing it

A message to the NOSTR dev community.
I see devs (founders) hyperfocused on shipping features rather than designing valuable user journeys. This is the main reason why many projects/apps fail on adoption IMO.
NOSTR app are full of friction and usability problems. Everyone is copying eachothers patterns and assumptions about what apps should be. Most are designing for their own persona which is not representative for most users.
The solution is to give UX leads ownership over the user journey, instead of devs dominating every decision and shipping before actual user testing and research/understand their needs.
To make things easy and engaging, requires knowledge about user psychology which most devs lack.
Move beyond. Or the centralized world will win this battle without a serious fight.

Keychat browser doesn’t include a built-in Nostr client. Instead, it combines IDs and Wallets with WebView (the OS’s native browser engine) to serve as a better host for various Nostr web clients. We still need more of these clients.
Beyond that, Mini Apps with Nostr ID login and Lightning payments unlock a much wider range of possibilities than basic Nostr clients.

They do all the time, at least in the military circles. Interestingly, they don’t seem to be regretting their losses as much as relative lack of result that these casualties paid for. But it will take some time before that reaches Kremlin and results in some concrete decisions - as long as the army pays the money for signing contract and for the death, the general population seems to be content.
