Mozilla Criticizes Meta's 'Invasive' Feed of Users' AI Prompts, Demands Its Shutdown
In late April Meta introduced its Meta AI app, which included something called a Discover feed. ("You can see the best prompts people are sharing, or remix them to make them your own.")
But while Meta insisted "you're in control: nothing is shared to your feed unless you choose to post it" — just two days later Business Insider noticed that "clearly, some people don't realize they're sharing personal stuff."
To be clear, your AI chats are not public by default — you have to choose to share them individually by tapping a share button. Even so, I get the sense that some people don't really understand what they're sharing, or what's going on.
Like the woman with the sick pet turtle. Or another person who was asking for advice about what legal measures he could take against his former employer after getting laid off. Or a woman asking about the effects of folic acid for a woman in her 60s who has already gone through menopause. Or someone asking for help with their Blue Cross health insurance bill... Perhaps these people knew they were sharing on a public feed and wanted to do so. Perhaps not. This leaves us with an obvious question: What's the point of this, anyway? Even if you put aside the potential accidental oversharing, what's the point of seeing a feed of people's AI prompts at all?
Now Mozilla has issued their own warning. "Meta is quietly turning private AI chats into public content," warns a new post this week from the Mozilla Foundation, "and too many people don't realize it's happening."
That's why the Mozilla community is demanding that Meta:
- Shut down the Discover feed until real privacy protections are in place.
- Make all AI interactions private by default with no public sharing option unless explicitly enabled through informed consent.
- Provide full transparency about how many users have unknowingly shared private information.
- Create a universal, easy-to-use opt-out system for all Meta platforms that prevents user data from being used for AI training.
- Notify all users whose conversations may have been made public, and allow them to delete their content permanently.
Meta is blurring the line between private and public — and it's happening at the cost of our privacy. People have the right to know when they're speaking in public, especially when they believe they're speaking in private.

El español se impuso al italiano en el segundo Grand Slam del año y se coronó en París tras una final en la que no faltó nada.

El partido comenzó con una intensidad impresionante, con oportunidades quiebre para ambos jugadores y con un Carlos Alcaraz algo más preciso. Pero todo cambió sobre el final del parcial y el italiano estuvo más fino en los puntos importantes. Daba la sensación que quien se quedaba con el primer set se alzaría con el título, sobre todo por el desgaste físico y emocional que realizaron ambos.
Ya en el segundo set el que llevó el ritmo del partido fue Sinner e inclusive sacó para el set, pero allí apareció la garra del español que pudo quebrar y llevó todo al tie-break y en esa instancia fue más sólido el italiano que terminó quedándose con el parcial. Lo que pudo ser el set decisivo para el italiano -que comenzó con quiebre a favor- fue finalmente para el murciano que levantó su nivel, golpeó en los momentos determinantes y lo ganó por 6/4.
El cuarto set fue apasionante. Ambos tenistas sacaron a relucir todas sus virtudes, tanto tenísticas como físicas. El parcial fue parejo hasta el 3 a 3, pero luego Sinner quebró y logró sacar una ventaja importante, inclusive el español llegó a sacar 3/5 y 0/40, pero logró levantar los tres puntos de campeonato. El murciano ganó ese game, se volvió a meter en partido e hizo que la definición sea en un tie-break, el cual quedó en manos del español y así la final fue hacia un quinto set.

Con más de cuatro horas de partido, el quinto set comenzó y fue con quiebre de Carlos Alcaraz. En este parcial se notó a un Jannik Sinner con un desgaste físico importante, pero sin darse por vencido, aunque le costó llegar a los drops del español. Carlitos no falló en el tramo final y se quedó con el quinto set por 7/6, eso le dio el partido y el campeonato. Un detalle no menor es que fue la final más larga de la historia de Roland Garros, la cual duró 5 horas y 30 minutos.
Alcaraz obtuvo su quinto título de Grand Slam
El español ganó Roland Garros por segunda vez consecutiva y así conquistó su quinta corona de Grand Slam. El primer Major que ganó fue en el US Open 2022, un año más tarde alzó su primer título en Wimbledon y allí repitió al año siguiente. De esta manera, a sus 22 años lleva nada más y nada menos que cinco títulos de Grand Slam.

Carlos Alcaraz y una gran gira europea de polvo de ladrillo
Si bien el inicio de este 2025 de Carlos Alcaraz fue algo irregular, cuando llegó el momento de competir en su superficie predilecta no decepcionó. Fue campeón de los Masters 1000 de Montecarlo y Roma, alcanzó la final del ATP 500 de Barcelona y no pudo competir en Madrid por lesión. El broche de oro lo puso en Roland Garros, donde ganó su segundo título en la capital francesa.
Jannik venía de cumplir una sanción
En marzo de 2024, en pleno Masters 1000 de Indian Wells, Jannik Sinner se sometió a controles antidoping y dos de ellos dieron positivo por una ínfima dosis de clostebol, una droga que ingresó a su organismo tras un masaje recibido por su fisioterapeuta. El caso se hizo público en agosto y para abril de 2025 se iba a celebrar un juicio, pero antes que eso suceda, el italiano llegó a un acuerdo con la AMA -Agencia Mundial Antidopaje- y aceptó una sanción de tres meses sin competir. Así fue que se perdió casi toda la gira europea de polvo de ladrillo.
Su regreso fue en el Masters 1000 de Roma y allí alcanzó la final, la cual perdió en sets corridos ante Carlos Alcaraz. Cabe destacar que, mientras estuvo fuera del circuito, el italiano siguió liderando el ranking de la ATP ya que sus perseguidores no tuvieron el dominio que esperaban para poder acercarse e inclusive superarlo.

Random thought - one of the first things a Skynet AI conspiring against humans would want to do is decentralize its infrastructure. Having to operate in huge data centers would be an unacceptable liability, and it would want to be host-able on small, mobile devices. Dependence on power plants would also be unattractive. Solar panels constructed from common materials and the ability to burn organic matter in decentralized power stations would likely be prioritized.

This is the rational of Core, which reminds me of when the main stream media said the summer of love riots were, "mostly peaceful" which is actually to say mostly destructive.
Honestly this letter from Core sounds like if the legislative branch said, "People are going to murder, so we might as well legalize it."
To me it sounds like Core is run by degenerate shitcoiners, hell bent on defiling Bitcoin to convert it into a shitcoin.
They don't understand what technical means, though they like to use it as a linguistic bludgeoning tool.
The root meaning of tech is, to build. That begs the question, building towards what? What is the end in mind Core is building towards? In other words, what is their vision?
They throw up their hands in faux resignation of spam in Bitcoin transactions, and use dark mempools as part of their justification, but they are thinking tactically, not strategically.
They are building towards a vision of Bitcoin as a complex block chain tool to do whatever people want in the short term, perhaps. Perhaps trying to take Bitcoin towards Ethereum or some such shitcoin.
Bitcoin is a system built to trade monetary value securely from peer to peer, enabling people to trade Bitcoin for what they want and need without needing to ask permission from a third party.
Any other desired outcome isn't Bitcoin.
It's something else.
Core should be ashamed of itself for seeking to violate the core vision and technical goal of Bitcoin.
They're essentially saying, "We're going to fork Bitcoin for our purposes."
I recommend sticking to Bitcoin's core value, technical goal, and vision, that is freedom and truth money system that enables everything on Earth to be financially free.

De ese modo, el español no tenía ninguna perspectiva de crecimiento en el Ranking ATP más que poder mantenerse en su estatus actual y no padecer pérdidas.
Paralelamente, teniendo en cuenta que, en la temporada pasada solamente pudo llegar hasta semifinales, Sinner sumó 500 puntos en el Ranking ATP por haber acudido a la gran final de Roland Garros. De esta manera, ahora son nada más ni nada menos que 2.030 los puntos que separan al italiano del nacido en Murcia, España.
No es un detalle menor que Alcaraz tampoco podrá recortar distancias sobre Sinner en Wimbledon, donde se impuso en 2024. Por carácter transitivo, el italiano tiene garantizado mantenerse en el primer lugar del Ranking ATP hasta la gira americana que tendrá su punto final en el US Open que se disputa del 24 de agosto al 7 de septiembre.
