This is the rational of Core, which reminds me of when the main stream media said the summer of love riots were, "mostly peaceful" which is actually to say mostly destructive.
Honestly this letter from Core sounds like if the legislative branch said, "People are going to murder, so we might as well legalize it."
To me it sounds like Core is run by degenerate shitcoiners, hell bent on defiling Bitcoin to convert it into a shitcoin.
They don't understand what technical means, though they like to use it as a linguistic bludgeoning tool.
The root meaning of tech is, to build. That begs the question, building towards what? What is the end in mind Core is building towards? In other words, what is their vision?
They throw up their hands in faux resignation of spam in Bitcoin transactions, and use dark mempools as part of their justification, but they are thinking tactically, not strategically.
They are building towards a vision of Bitcoin as a complex block chain tool to do whatever people want in the short term, perhaps. Perhaps trying to take Bitcoin towards Ethereum or some such shitcoin.
Bitcoin is a system built to trade monetary value securely from peer to peer, enabling people to trade Bitcoin for what they want and need without needing to ask permission from a third party.
Any other desired outcome isn't Bitcoin.
It's something else.
Core should be ashamed of itself for seeking to violate the core vision and technical goal of Bitcoin.
They're essentially saying, "We're going to fork Bitcoin for our purposes."
I recommend sticking to Bitcoin's core value, technical goal, and vision, that is freedom and truth money system that enables everything on Earth to be financially free.
