The forget thing is real, but In my experience some seconds/minutes are usually sufficient, and there is somehow a difference *after* pressing the send button. Maybe the mind switch in a higher state of alertness.

A random idea to have an robust cross-clients undo-post feature: relays can implement a X minutes (e.g. 5) delay in the actual pubblication of the events, so an user can safely require the deletion (NIP-9) without worrying that the event has been already broadcasted elsewhere. Of course you have to choose a trusted outbox relay, and only use clients that support the outbox model.
Bonus side effect: this promote a slow approach to posting.

I took a look there, but didn’t see it cap at 150-200 websocket connections. There were surely a lot of failed connects, but that was also from the start, not once reaching that threshold. And I saw it try all online relies it listed. Could your browser be stopping it prematurely to save RAM consumption or something? Workers have a 30sec max execution time. And so far as it parses the online relays it seems to average blasting to 100-200 relays. That was from my own testing before trying out Nadar. Curious to see what you’re seeing though if it’s something I’m completely missing.

A fascinating though about WOT on #nostr
For this who have been active here for a while, we have had series of bot spam attacks. As a result, the rise of WOT relays, client side filtering, purgatory by nostrband etc sprung up.
With new spam attacks, OGs are less bothered because they easily have the tools to combat and can easily communicate to other members of their Web of trust. To an outsider, this would seem insane because it would appear as a bot infested platform.
So in a way, looking at the bright side, the frequent unslaught of bots could be a good thing. They act as a protective barrier to the network. Doesn't help with onboarding new users though. But the greatest benefit is the improved decentralized web of trust in an internet that is increasingly becoming centralized as a result of AI slop and attention grabbing distractions.

If you think that design is just "looking nice" you are severely underestimating its potential, especially when paired with product management. A technically robust feature that no one uses because it is not accessibile, doee not exist. A lot of interesting open source software unfortunately do not exist.

But I suppose the same concept applies to marketers, product managers, content creators, etc.
To be honest, sometimes opensource developers, controlling the most valuable part of the project (the code), create a fence around themselves, thinking that what they do in the non-core areas (often design) is just enough, and so they ship mediocre products. This happens only because they do not apply the 20% rule; learning other skills would be enough to highlight the limitations of the current situation and create the urgency to seek help.

Busy week on my side.
Gutter and fascia repair on my brother's house. Baited, trapped, and migrated a large opposum that got into one of our cellar basements. Pruning some way overgrown trees. Patching some bird holes on the house.
Not all progress is pretty and worth posting. I'm trying not to make this nostr feed a journal, but in the future I'll enjoy looking at my own timeline.
I've got a goal to start taking more photos to pair with notes like these.

As a project that is run by Nostriches for Nostriches, we at #GitCitadel are proud of our humble, zap-based financing, especially over our Geyserfund (https://geyser.fund/project/gitcitadel). It's been mildly painful, and we've had to learn to pinch each sat until it cries for mercy. The current subscription of 300 sats/month (which some of you have been grandfathered into), will get you write-access to the relay. It is a great help for us, if you actively subscribe to wss://theforest.nostr1.com in your client, and include it in your outboxes and inboxes.
This access will become interesting soon, once the publishing feature is opened up, and even more interesting, once we get comments, highlights etc. going. Alexandria is a community-first client, and theforest is our community relay for the https://next-alexandria.gitcitadel.eu instance, so anything written to that relay will receive pride-of-place in the client. Because we know and trust our own community members, we're displaying "the full global", so this relay is a great way to immediately make contact with other npubs, even if you are new to Nostr.
We are also working on the ability to offer premium relay subscriptions, and we'll announce those, once we get the features going that they will unlock.

Zapstore development status:
Finishing the new relay and media server infrastructure (thanks to nostr:nprofile1qqst6jhruelzn9jdf9qhyfsac3fetjyld0fwwary9cmxzfchrhacragpz4mhxue69uhk5etvd3ukv6tndqhxcctwvshszrnhwden5te0dehhxtnvdakz7qghwaehxw309a5kuer90qhxs7njvscngwfwvdhk6uv5t08) including separate relays for Github-proxy and dev signed.
Auto-indexing: The Github (and similar services) relay will allow suggestions so you no longer need to ask for apps to be added - you just do it.
Same for developer whitelisting, the process for gaining write access will be streamlined.
An all new pure-Dart APK parser library will be integrated in zapstore-cli and gearing up for releasing 0.2.0 final.
(This same library will be used in the Zapstore app, so developers will also be able to publish from there - and sign with Amber - the fifth supported signing method for developers).
zapstore-cli is being fine tuned to power the intense indexing job as well. It's faster than ever.
The new models Dart library, with its Purplebase implementation I'm wrapping up, is the cornerstone of the revamped Zapstore app - social features will be a breeze to implement, so expect those too.
