A fascinating though about WOT on #nostr
For this who have been active here for a while, we have had series of bot spam attacks. As a result, the rise of WOT relays, client side filtering, purgatory by nostrband etc sprung up.
With new spam attacks, OGs are less bothered because they easily have the tools to combat and can easily communicate to other members of their Web of trust. To an outsider, this would seem insane because it would appear as a bot infested platform.
So in a way, looking at the bright side, the frequent unslaught of bots could be a good thing. They act as a protective barrier to the network. Doesn't help with onboarding new users though. But the greatest benefit is the improved decentralized web of trust in an internet that is increasingly becoming centralized as a result of AI slop and attention grabbing distractions.

Busy week on my side.
Gutter and fascia repair on my brother's house. Baited, trapped, and migrated a large opposum that got into one of our cellar basements. Pruning some way overgrown trees. Patching some bird holes on the house.
Not all progress is pretty and worth posting. I'm trying not to make this nostr feed a journal, but in the future I'll enjoy looking at my own timeline.
I've got a goal to start taking more photos to pair with notes like these.

Eliminating inflammatory foods and consuming high quality non processed and simple or single ingredient foods is important. Post 1 – The Golden Boy That Wasn’t
People thought I had it all. I grew up just outside Denver in a nice neighborhood. Big house. Clean clothes. Played sports and was good at them. Teachers liked me. Coaches leaned on me. Other parents thought I was the kid doing everything right.
But inside the house, it was different.
My mom was mentally unstable and took it out on us. My dad was barely around and pretty much had a second life going. But the biggest thing in our home wasn’t love, it was status. That’s what mattered most. How things looked. What people thought.
So I played the part. I smiled. I competed. I kept it together just enough to look the part. But I was already slipping. Angry. Lost. And by 15, I was living a double life.
Now look, this isn’t a victim story. I had everything I needed to do it right. I had natural intelligence. I had charisma. I was athletic. If I’d stayed focused and used what I had instead of chasing everything that didn’t matter, life could’ve looked a whole lot different. But I didn’t. I chose the chaos.
I got deep into drugs and lies and that whole world. But on the outside, I kept showing up just enough to fool the adults. I ran that game for a long time.
