I’m super frustrated and really regretting my purchase of Red Dead Redemption 2 from Rockstar via Gamebillet.com. I was 70% through the game, main missions all wrapped up on my old setup, when I decided to switch to Fedora. I was so excited to dive back in, but trying to install RDR2 on Fedora with Lutris has been a total headache.
The Rockstar launcher is broken on Lutris. To make matters worse, Lutris won’t let me install a new version of the launcher, so I’m stuck with this busted one. The download is over 100 GB, and I can’t pause it. If my internet hiccups or I need to restart my PC, it wipes everything and starts from scratch. It’s driving me up the wall! I’ve poured hours into this game, gotten attached to Arthur’s story, and just want to finish it.
Steam would’ve made this so easy with Proton—smooth sailing, no drama. I really wish someone had gifted me the Steam version instead of this Rockstar headache. Has anyone else run into this Lutris issue with the Rockstar launcher not updating? Any tips to fix it? I’m desperate to get back to my game! 😩

That actually would be a good captcha technique. They're They always looking for ways to make new ones as bots figure them out. So, they show a bunch of images like this and you have to pick out which one is actually the real captcha. Seems easier than some I've encountered where I literally didn't even know what to do to solve it.

The response to that, is that no one is saying you aren't allowed to do whatever you want with your own software, you are making a point no one is disagreeing with.
The next step to this is, does this have any impact on the network? And the answer is no, and if you want to actually change network behavior you need a change in consensus to do that.

lol the over complication here is hilarious. I bought my first btc in 2021 and immediately understood sats. I think I switched all my apps to showing sats in 2022 and haven’t gone back since.

My mother is visiting and she often has an interesting or story or two that I hadn't heard before.
She was an attorney in the early 1980s. There was a Korean janitor who worked in a university in Seoul, and he managed to steal a copy of the university seal. This allowed him to make very convincing forgery diplomas, so he made himself a fake medical degree.
He then got a fellowship in the US, married an American woman, and was working at a US university hospital. He did various additional forgeries, like getting a medical license from a retired doctor and altering it for himself, so he had an office filled with all sorts of fake diplomas, licenses, awards, etc. He had a private practice where he preyed on the Korean immigrant population in the city with his fake medical skills.
Anyway he was eventually caught upon further scrutiny of his documents. The judge was lenient on him and gave him a prison sentence of 364 days, which is 1 day less than a year which is the threshold for crimes that often get people deported.
Seems like a crazy story to me and could be a movie.
