Could Luke be gathering an army under the guise of decentralization and altruism. Then one day suggest the real solution is to actually remove OP_RETURN so arbitrary data can't get in at all. Guess what, then Bitcoin will fork and the people on knots will believe they are the good guys. Then they will all become poor when they sell the real orange coin. Just like Bcash. The reason is extremely convoluted.
There is a technical case to be made about OP_RETURN being technically less harmful than the segregated witness.
OP_RETURN data can be pruned where segregated witness data can’t.
The ramifications are more spam and higher fees.

First off blocks are not full they have been on average 1.6MB since the last halving over 50,000 blocks ago. They would be full if we never changed from 1mb to 4mb blocks.

How so? The observation that OP_RETURNs are more expensive for larger data payloads has been a central argument why "spam" is unlikely to increase overall by this change.

Great! Also added support in Snort while testing this, im curious which clients support this, everybody talks about how great Blossom is for censorship resistance but i dont know if we really handle it properly in clients.
