東北新幹線E8系列車故障導致雙向停運
【共同社6月17日電】17日上午11點25分前後，日本東北新幹線上作為回送列車行駛的新型E8系列車（7節編組）發生無法加速的情況，在“宇都宮-那須鹽原”區間停車進行檢查。受此影響，“東京-仙台”區間雙向停運。
據東日本鐵路公司（JR東日本）透露，回送列車於上午10點36分從上野站出發，原定下午1點14分抵達盛岡站。據悉，列車無法依靠自身動力行駛。後續旅客乘坐的2節編組列車也在“宇都宮-那須鹽原”區間停車。

good points well made. My observation is that there comes a point where the sheer weight of "not evil" people say No, enough and that power overwhelms the evil energy. Plenty of damage caused as that process plays out, of course.
And there is a lot to be said for the idea that good people are fearful of evil , but evil people are way more fearful of good, hence why they overcompensate to keep the illusion of power, and ultimately crash and burn

I'm mostly avoiding news these days and looking at primary history sources. Anything written by someone who didn't live through it is suspect.
I find this takes very little news to accurately predict the future. I remember people watching the news during covid and it telling me it would be over in a couple of weeks. I said 18 months from the beginning because I went and read about previous flu pandemics. No one believed me.
The people already saying that Iran will kill an American and then America will enter the war are probably doing the same thing.
For American internal politics today I recommend Tyranny by Timothy Snyder. Newer book but it is written based on primary sources like personal journals from various countries that transformed from democracy into single party fascism over the 20th century.
