yeah, i'd prefer to work with investors with small cap and reasonable but attentive input on monitoring and having some input into the operations, but not a dominant role, of course. CEO is the one with veto power, and the investor has to trust them, primarily, and the CEO has to have a nose for bullshit in his contractors/employees

privacy is better controlled by auth than encryption. encryption signals still leak timing metadata and endpoints, you have to combine it with onion routing to have a lower trust requirement than self-hosting

yes, open membership means there is always a privacy vulnerability. direct messages can only be breached by one out of two but the more you put on the denominator the lower the chances of keeping it private
IMO, it's a fool's errand, outside of the business or affinity group context. better to make it public to read, auth to write, then you can control spam simply by whitelists, which are much cheaper to implement than blacklists and complex shit like spam recognisers.

credentials and reputation are a very important form of capital. this is why i'm sticking with my current gig until we hopefully get some success in some small part due to my contribution.
building statistical analysis servers is a lot simpler than building database servers also, so it's a much lower target for me to hit in my mid game.

Aufgrund des Wegfalls der staatlichen Maßnahmen zur Pandemiebekämpfung im Frühjahr 2023 wurden (…) neue, mobilisierungsfähige Themen gesucht. Neben der Forderung nach einer „Aufarbeitung“ der Coronapandemie (auch in Form einer strafrechtlichen Verfolgung der für die Schutzmaßnahmen verantwortlichen Politikerinnen und Politiker) wurde versucht, staatliche Klimaschutzmaßnahmen, den russischen Angriffskrieg gegen die Ukraine oder die angebliche Gefahr einer staatlichen Totalüberwachung der Bevölkerung durch Digitalisierung als mögliche Schwerpunktthemen zu implementieren."
