If you are asking me what the individual can do right now, in a political sense, I'd have to say he can't do all that much. Speaking for myself, I am more concerned with the transformation of the individual, which to me is much more important than the so-called political revolution.

I’m not sure since I’ve never run the blockchain on one. I started with a rasbi pi and 1tb ssd. One of the reasons I chose start9 was so I could transfer my open channels
To a new node without closing them. Start9 had a built in migration tool that made easy.
I’m sure there are plebs here on NOSTR that can give good feedback.

But it also gives you the ability to remote into your server. Honestly I’d have to go back through my notes to setup again before i could do it over.
I’m sure there’s a lot of uses for ProxMox that I don’t know or understand. If I was starting over, I’m not sure what I’d do. nostr:npub12gu8c6uee3p243gez6cgk76362admlqe72aq3kp2fppjsjwmm7eqj9fle6 has a bad experience with both ProxMox and NVMe drives. He eventually got off ProxMox I think.

16gb ram and 2tb ssd installed. Original machine was an IBM Thinkcentre. I don’t recall the model number but it had an i5 processor. I downloaded the original spec sheet when I first set it up. Pretty much anything you find online should be good. Just look for i5 processor or more. If I was starting over, I’d probably bump i7 and look for more ram and 4tb just to future proof. The cost won’t too much more.
There’s plenty on ThinkCentres on Amazon for $ 200 but the hard drives will need to be replaced with larger drives. I know some people have had issues with NVMe drives. I just want with a 2TB ssd.
