Yeah. I was gonna get a creality but the guy at the store talked me out of it as I don't really want to babysit a machine and spend excess time on it. The Bambu Lab printers give a lot of bang for your buck.
If you haven't already, get yourself a dryer box for the filament. I just got a basic one where I can do 2 rolls at a time.

I am for the change
- improves decentralization as it disincentivizes going straight to miners to include valid transactions.
- let's my node see the transaction, before included in a block, so my lightning node can adequately adjust fees for channel closures and justice tx with peers.
- incentivizes developers that want/need data pinning or publication that goes beyond a simple hash to use nice formats that don't bloat utxo set and are easily purgeable. In exchange they get improved privacy and don't need to work special deals with miners or TX accelerators.
I personally don't care if there is a toggle or not in core to let people control data carrier size and limits. But I do want us to get past the arbitrary restriction whose original purpose is no longer served and may be contributing to poor outcomes. I'm also not gonna get butthurt if we don't make this change as there are bigger issues to tackle.

There is a lot of lightning node operators that are in the dark on this issue and would benefit if they understand how mempool/relay policy made consistent with block inclusion policy on this issue affords them greater protection (gotta observe to set fee appropriately) and decentralization (disincentivize centralization)

Here's an analogy ..
I'm paraphrasing, but some people have referred to inscriptions as like sitting on the grass in a public park, or pissing in a pool. Worth noting that shitting on the grass in this case gets mashed into the ground and is always there in perpetuity.
Removing the OP_RETURN limit is like installing multiple portajohns at the park. Nobody really likes portajohns, except when you're desperate it's better than nothing. More portajohns mean more shit.
It's not guaranteed to stop people from shitting on the grass, and other people who weren't shitting on the grass may come into the park and take a shit (on the grass or in a portajohn). But at least the portajohns can be emptied (pruned)
Another option for dealing with people shitting in the park is installing an inspection force that examines people coming in. Making sure they aren't going to shit on the ground. Limiting what people can bring with them. Not allowing people to wear similar looking clothing to mask their identity. No new types of balls or toys. Only 1 soccer ball or Frisbee because these are known not to contain other objects inside that could be left behind. No BBQ grills, no blankets, food, drink, etc because consuming food would risk someone needing to shit in the park. The community would have to come to consensus on this change due to the new limits that would be imposed.
In summary..
1) do nothing. Tragedy of the commons means more and more shitting on the ground in the park
2) install portions (remove op_return limits). Acknowledges people are going to shit, but provide a way to shit that allows some cleanup
3) park gatekeepers - prevent all shit. New hard or soft fork that changes what's allowed as new TX going forward

Have you read Peter Todd's approach to tail emissions?
It's not cutting a thing in half. Thats basically what we have now converging on 2.1 quadrillion.
Peter Todd has been advocating for years for a transition to a fixed block reward. The goal being to ensure miners continue to have incentive to mine blocks, and that this would in theory pseudo replace lost coins over time under the guise that coins go up is better than coins goto 0.
