Eating meat and supporting corporate farms are not equivalent. The meat from an animal treated like this isn't nearly as healthy as meat from a well raised outdoor animal, its full of antibiotics, bad hormonal balances, and very low quality fats. How our food lives does in fact go up the chain and create very different nutritional profiles.
Corporate farms are a fiat phenomenon caused by financing price misallocation. You might really enjoy the book "The Unsettling of America" by Wendell Barry. HE doesn't talk about financing much specifically because he doesn't seem to see the money side of things, but you'll hear him bring it up multiple times without him realizing what a critical piece of the puzzle it is.

A Bitcoin node does take about 1TB to store the timechain. If you want freedom money it REQUIRES responsibility.
Running a Bitcoin node does not take a lot of technical knowledge if you are just doing the basics. There are a lot of guides and a whole #noderunner community to ask questions of.
There has been a lot of confusion for new people bitcoiners about what a Bitcoin vs Lightning node is. For those that came in being introduced to lightning only they get the use case, but not the core values. (Hopefully that makes sense). If you want freedom money and you want to protect your money you run a Bitcoin node.
Lightning nodes run on top of Bitcoin nodes, but you do not have to run a lightning node. Lightning nodes are high harder to run and they require higher end computers. That is where some of the confusion about node running comes in.
A basic Bitcoin node can be run on a raspberry pi, you just have to have enough storage and at least 4 GB of ram. A two terabyte drive is pretty normal now, as it's future proof.
Easy to run Bitcoin node software:
- MyNode
- Start 9
- Umbrel
- Raspblitz (I have not used, but apparently it's similar).

Many companies are offering Bitcoin loans so you "don't have to sell"
The catch is you have to give them your coins as collateral.
I'd rather just buy something with the Bitcoin straight up than give more of it to a leveraged financial institution, and be forced to give them even more if the price dumps.

Every single bitcoiner should be running a node! Don't trust, verify. If you're not running a node, you're trusting someone else to not lie to you and your not enforcing the rules of Bitcoin that you agree with.
A "wallet" is just the key that proves you have ownership, it should really be called a key or signer. The bitcoin doesnt move into a "wallet", it's in the timechain/UTXO (aka blockchain).
