I mostly agree with Cody here. Though I understand the idea behind @MoneRogue 's argument.
I think we're still way to early to be pricing things in XMR directly. Maybe when Haveno and Serai are well established and we can take their combined 100 day average as a conversion for prices then it could make sense as that would keep the conversion rate pretty stable and less reliant on centralized (and potentially controlled by bad actors) exchanges.

The system is based on subversion. Votings are binding, but everything is a question of definition and the meaning of language. If media matrix (mass media) tells the citizen that everything is fine, then everything is fine, even if the house is burning.

Depends on the unit of measure. Against any fiat currency, Monero is deflationary. Against gold, Monero is deflationary. Against Bitcoin, Monero is inflationary. And against Monero, Monero is inflationary to steady. Monero has a constant tail emission of 0.3 XMR per minute forever, which asymptotically approaches zero and makes up for any coins lost in boating accidents. It also keeps a constant small reward for miners in order to incentivize miners to always secure the chain, no matter what happens with transaction fees. What you end up with is an equilibrium where roughly the same amount of Monero is lost through loss of private keys as is created through the tail emission, which keeps Monero's supply in balance.

Another thing you can do to avoid the volatility is do not price your currency at the market value. Price it at the 200-day moving average instead. In the vast majority of cases, this will cause you to underestimate the value of your holdings, while very occasionally it will overestimate them, but not by much and not for long.

I know the struggle. It's incredibly hard to keep any kind of fiat savings buffer around when you know that the fiat is going to be inflated out from under you. But then, if you have all of your assets in Monero, then when you need it, you have to sell that Monero for fiat. And that hurts.

A fork of bisq1 based on the Haveno software. Instead of using Bitcoin as the base currency, it uses Monero. Because Monero Block Time is 2 minutes instead of 10 minutes and because the fees are lower you get a better trading experience.
