Begin rant.
A scammer DMed me stating that they were banned from Facebook, but they used incorrect English to say who they were.
They wanted to know if Nostr was really decentralized. Okay, this is up my alley. This is my time to shine. Let's talk. No biggie, I have typos all of the time. 👀
However, next when describing themselves, they said it again. If you have a high level White House reporter job, you're not going to constantly mix up correspondence and correspondent. 🤔
I looked into "her" Instagram profile. On various posts there "she" uses the correct language. 😡
Then in "dude's" Nostr profile they talk about bitcoin, crypto, and are only posting images stored on that scammer Storj token website. 🤬

The issue with the claim
*the filters don’t work* is that you are proving an absence of evidence, not an underlying fundamental.
*Some* spam-transactions and non-standard transactions get confirmed *despite* the filter(s), this does not prove the filters are ineffective.
What don’t they work at? Stopping spam transactions completely? Okay.
Are they not effective at *deterrence*?
How could you possibly prove this?
The moment they are turned off by default we will find out if there is evidence, and many people are extremely uncomfortable with that.
This is why Core 29 is not being run despite “developer consensus”.

I think that multi device is not a concern right now. I have some ideas for something in the future, but as of right now 1 user = 1 device.

Knots is at almost 7%.
What’s interesting is that Core v29.0 (the latest version) has 947 reachable nodes as of today, while Knots v20250305 is running on 1,201 active nodes. There is also an older Knots version (20240801) that's currently running on 197 nodes.
