The police continue to crack down on the financial pipeline of organized crime - and uncovered a staggering amount of cash as part of a crackdown in the city of Rahat. Officers from the Rahat police station, together with forces from the Negev region, raided several homes in the city yesterday (Wednesday) following a family feud that had escalated into gunfire between the parties. During the searches, which were conducted based on intelligence information, the police arrived at a property belonging to one of the families - and in one of the homes, they were shocked to find a staggering sum of cash: 1,002,731 shekels and tens of thousands of dollars in foreign currency. The funds were seized for the purpose of being handed over to the tax authority.
