In Durostorum, Emilian, a young man of only 20, openly smashed pagan idols during a festival. Seized and brought before the authorities, he refused to deny Christ, declaring his faith with courage. Despite threats and tortures, Emilian remained steadfast. He was sentenced to be burned alive. As the flames consumed him, Emilian praised God, and his face shone with divine light, leaving onlookers in awe.
