When you liked my post, I saw “liked by Gizmo” and only after I opened your profile I saw the name changed to the new one. I guess the “confirmation” step would be too much for the user + it may be more resource-hungry as the client would potentially have to keep both “informations” forever if someone does not confirm a switch.
Anyways I like the approach as with Nostr “verification” is much more complex than with centralized platforms.
