That's one solution. I take the simplest solution, the NAP and personal responsibility. It works for everything. Extremely low cognitive load. Under this solution that data collection should only be destroyed if the NAP requires it or if those in control should choose to.
What happened to tit for tat? I thought you said that was the best way to manage a complex system. That would be in line with my solution. There is proof of power behind that, the power of nature.
Outside of that, your desire that this data should not be collected is a personal choice. That falls under the "if those in control should choose to" part of my solution. You are but one node. Voice your say and take what you want for yourself by all means. Refuse data collection. You might negotiate with those who would offer info about you to stop, and cut them out of your life if you must. I would voice the need for a market for protection for people and seek out ways of protecting myself from aggressors that can use this information to harm me. These are all things we get to do infldividually. I assert that the natural law is true and I abide by that. You can do both things: eliminate the data collection or protect yourself from it in some way, and not do it through aggression.
