It's very interesting that many people cannot disrupt their own view of the world.
I've just watched a YouTuber who thought Japan was overrated. Reasons for this are:
No hostels
Very expensive
No rubbish bins
The reason there are no rubbish bins in Japan is deeply fascinating, if you're ever at a loose end one day and want to research it, it's worth your time.
Japan, BTW is one of the few unique cultures that developed outside of external influences. It is like no other country in the world.
Sadly, that uniqueness is slowly being eroded, but if you get a chance, go and experience it for yourself, before it gets flooded with Starbucks.
