I agree with that, especially considering the copycat mechanism of applications currently considered AI.
In comparison conscious life forms can have ideas and make realistic discoveries. This perspective has made me wary of the popular calls to writing more code, as the programming step really only succeeds a previously sensible and comprehensive idea finding and conceptualization step.
Ultimately this issue might occur from the pervasive conditioning towards consumer behavior, and the overestimation of money, accounting and administration. Attaining freedom comes with the responsibility to live an actually free life.
