A very nice manual less than $100 and lasts many years. We've been really happy with one of the WinCo single origin roasts ($7 / lb) even in comparison to much more expensive beans.
Definitely worth the up front investment (and manual effort) in my opinion. I like our coffee better than the drip at most coffee shops even when we use the automated dripper. It's not even close if I use a pour over or better method at home.
