Examine the location features within the application. Does this paint a target on your back and can you roughly calculate how much your targets are worth robbing by their zap history?
Examine the callbacks to github. Could this be used to fingerprint you?
The developer has admitted that they would whore themselves out and do anything for a price. Is this the type of man to be trusted with your privacy and security to do the right thing?
Why does he also condone the spread of illegal content on his app?
Are some people shaddow banned too?
Also extensive private conversations with him revealed he is of highly questionable moral character, pompus, and an utter asshole.
While I admit that amethyst is one of the best nostr clients available. It is also untrustworthy for all the reasons mentioned above.
If it was forked and stripped of the privacy invading features. Then maintained by a trustworthy team of developers who believe in ACTUAL privacy and security. I would be all over it like white on rice on a paper plate in a snow storm.
However as of right now. I would not touch it with a 10 foot pole.
