A 37-year-old man was rescued alive after suffering a drowning incident in the morning of this Sunday (8) near the JK Bridge, on Lake Paranoá, in Brasília. The emergency call was registered at 11:24. Two rescue vehicles and a rescue boat were mobilized for the incident. According to the CBMDF, witnesses indicated the probable location of the victim, allowing divers to begin the search immediately. In the first dive, the military located the man about five meters deep and four meters from the shore. The victim was removed from the water without vital signs. Rescue teams then began cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) procedures at the scene. After 15 minutes of procedures, the patient regained a pulse, was stabilized, and was transported, unconscious, to the Hospital Base of the Federal District (IHBDF). The circumstances of the drowning incident are still unclear.
