The U.S. Department of Defense has officially accepted a Boeing 747-8 donated by Qatar’s Royal Family, with the Air Force tasked with rapidly upgrading the aircraft for potential use as Air Force One for President Donald J. Trump. In a statement confirming the acceptance, Pentagon Spokesman Sean Parnell said, “The Department of Defense will ensure that all necessary security protocols and mission capabilities are fully addressed for any aircraft designated to transport the President of the United States.”
