AI can build your game if you use the stacks method to do it. It seems like your question should not be "but why" but rather "but how"
I'll write a blog about it later, but the gist is to make a template + context file, iterate on it with the same prompt until you can prompt things like "make space invaders" and it can do it in one shot.
