Venerable Seraphim lived a life of extreme asceticism in the forests near Sâmbăta de Sus Monastery. He ate very little, wore simple clothes, and prayed constantly. People sought him out for spiritual guidance and healing, drawn by his evident holiness. One winter, a group of villagers, lost and starving in a blizzard, stumbled upon his humble dwelling. Despite having almost no food himself, Seraphim shared everything he had, miraculously feeding them all until the storm passed.
