How about you reframe the question. Imagine that you were on your land for just shy of 2000 years. It has been handed down for generation after generation. Then a nation much stronger than you forced you off your land and basically enslaved you and your children, claiming they had a historical right to your land, even though they had never been in the land, you had nothing to do with them leaving the land, and you had invested generation upon generation of blood sweat and tears into the land. How would you react?
