I appreciate the noble principles of journalism, but my real life experience suggests it's people who cobble together stuff quickly and with poor quality. Would Jeff Bezos be able to clean this issue up, with or without a monopoly? Are there just too many people in the business?
Just one example: like, why would the news legitimize someone in Japan calling a falling birth rate an emergency? Aren't they an overpopulated country because they cannot sustain their population based on the food they grow? Aren't they considered overpopulated because of the amount of fuel they use to ship goods in and out of the country? Has anyone seen pictures of Tokyo? Why would anyone want the entire world to look like that?
