What if gravity isnt just about planets pulling on each other but actually caused by information?
A new physics study says the invisible force keeping your feet on the ground might be less about mass and more about how particles talk to each other at the quantum level.
The researchers claim that quantum entanglement where particles stay mysteriously connected even across huge distances might actually bend spacetime.
In other words, gravity might come from data.
Published in Annals of Physics, the study adds something called an informational stress-energy tensor to Einsteins famous equations.
Normally, spacetime curves because of stuff like mass and energy.
But this new theory says quantum information the kind shared between entangled particles could curve it too.
This means gravity might not be a basic force of nature after all.
It might just be what happens when a lot of quantum bits share information in very complex ways.
That could rewrite everything we think we know about black holes, the early universe, and even the mysterious thing called dark energy thats making the universe expand faster and faster.
This study also hints that Newtons gravitational constant the number that controls how strong gravity is might actually change depending on energy levels.
That would be like discovering that the force of gravity isnt always the same, just weaker or stronger depending on what kind of particle soup youre in.
Right now, none of this is testable.
The math works, but the changes in gravity are so tiny that only places like the edge of a black hole or the very first moments after the Big Bang would show any signs.
Still, if this theory holds up, it could finally link Einsteins general relativity with quantum mechanics something scientists have been struggling to do for almost 100 years.
So yes, gravity might not be a force coming from matter.
It might be the universes way of processing information.
