Yeah which is why I'm hoping legacy middleman platforms will become irrelevant with easily compatible decentralized protocols. Like Nostr/Lightning. We're years out if it ever gets to that point.
I guess I'm describing a world where your media just won't be seen if you don't put it on the decentralized protocol. You may have your own front end, but people will want to choose their own preferred front end and have all their purchased media just be there.
None of this centralized silo bullshit where media is basically rented and can be swiped back or changed (media rugging).
