Sadly they are using the whole "were the next bitcoin" ploy. There's alot of people that don't want to miss the next "thing" and think this is their chance to make it.
The founder of kaspa literally said im going to make a coin to make myself rich.
The DAG structure and GHOSTDAG’s greedy algorithm introduce significant complexity compared to linear blockchains. Determining the order of blocks in a DAG requires solving computationally intensive problems, such as identifying “blue” (honest) and “red” (potentially malicious) blocks, which can strain node implementations.
The above in and of itself is reasoning for centralization in node infrastructure alone. Your dependent upon what someone else tells you what is true and which blocks aren't.
Then the "k" parameter is an adjustable parameter that gets moved in order to adjust throughput this allows more blocks through but at the tradeoff that more malicious blocks get through on what the true nature of the chain is.
Its just too complex and way too many moving parts that have absurd assumptions that they'll always be honest.
