Just an idle thought...
Once we get to digital currencies and the ruling class will know, and of course be able to, prevent purchases on an individual basis, both for persons and in respect to items purchased, would a "coinjoin" strategy work to thwart the authority?
Say, circulate a list of desired items and people just buy them randomly and then leave those items at a central location for the person who requested it whilst picking up the item that he or she requested? As the "coinjoin" expands, it would become almost impossible to determine exactly who is buying what and thus thwart "the algorithm" from being able to ration goods?
