This evening I stopped by the Fresh Market, just browsing like I usually do - mostly researching chocolates and date bars. While I was looking through the rack, I noticed a woman doing the same. I asked her a question I often ask people scanning date bars:
“Which ones do you usually go for?”
She listed a few brands I genuinely admire - ones that have actually inspired some of my own product ideas. I told her I have a website where I sell similar goods - but I only accept #Bitcoin.
She looked a bit surprised. Confused, even. Like many people, she hadn’t really encountered Bitcoin in a day-to-day context.
I explained:
“It’s money. You can use it to buy goods and services - and also protect your wealth over the long term. It helps you escape the slow bleed of fiat debasement that quietly makes everything more expensive.”
It still surprises me how many people I meet daily who haven’t even considered Bitcoin.
But that’s the thing - we don’t need to preach or push. Just live it. Show real use cases. Let it show up naturally in conversations.
One person, one moment at a time. That’s how adoption happens.
