I think this is just nerd proposal that’s unlikely to go anywhere. I certainly have not seen it implemented on any UIs out there.
That said, I see it both ways. I think 21M Bitcoin, 1 Bitcoin = 100M satoshis is useful for getting people internalize scarcity.
However, once the above happens 2.1Q Bitcoin and 100M Bitcoin = a Satillionaire or something like that becomes more useful as humans will likely tent to assign the name of the currency (Bitcoin) to the daily driving units as mass adoption takes hold.
