A crust of bread, a whispered prayer,
A coin slipped in a beggar's hand.
My children watch, their eyes so bare,
To understand this promised land.
Not riches sought, nor earthly praise,
But echoes of Christ's gentle plea,
To lift the fallen, mend the ways,
And see His face in poverty.
Each ruble given, freely cast,
A lesson etched on youthful hearts,
That love endures, and shadows past,
When #Mercy plays her sacred parts.
For in that act, a glimpse of #God,
A father's faith, a family's grace,
A path to tread, where saints have trod,
Toward Heaven's ever-shining face.
