Yeah, it's a classic case of rising prices curing rising prices, by crushing demand. We also cut our spending nearly in half.
They can take out more debt, but it won't help them fight deflation, as they can't find any projects to spend it on, and inflation requires monetary velocity.
And, since money in a credit-based currency is credit, they have to somehow get someone to take on the debt. But private people are going bankrupt and aging/dying, the population is tired of mass immigration, the youth buys cellphones instead of cars and houses, and companies are making like a 🍌 or also going bankrupt, so... who is going to spend that money?
They can park it with the billions leftover in the Corona fund. 😂
