Most sane people will agree that if you want to be healthy you should avoid sugar. The food industry, "BIG FOOD", would love to continue to sell their products. Of course, if BIG FOOD can disguise the ingredients in their products, then it is easier to sell their products. One technique that the food industry uses is cloaking sugar by giving it an alternate name on food labels. I have a list below taken from the Virta Health website that can help you cut through their "sugar mind tricks" FYI.
Alternate names for SUGAR on nutritional labels
Dextrose, fructose, galactose, glucose, lactose, maltose, sucrose, beet sugar, brown sugar, cane sugar, castor sugar, coconut sugar, confectioner’s sugar, powdered sugar, corn syrup solids, crystalline fructose, date sugar, demerara sugar, dextran, diastatic malt, ethyl maltol, Florida crystals, golden sugar, glucose syrup solids, grape sugar, icing sugar, maltodextran, muscovado sugar, panela sugar, raw sugar, Sucanat, turbinado sugar, yellow sugar, agave nectar, barley malt, blackstrap molasses, brown rice cereal, blood syrup, Carmel, carob syrup, corn syrup, evaporated cane juice, fruit juice, fruit juice concentrate, golden syrup, high fructose corn syrup, honey, inverted sugar, malt syrup, maple syrup, rice syrup, refiner’s syrup, sorghum syrup, treacle
