5. 사유재산권과 인권
사유재산권과 인권은 서로 분리될 수 없습니다.
사유재산권이 보장될 때 인권이 보장될 수 있습니다.
사실상 사유재산권과 인권은 같은 것입니다.
대표적인 인권인 표현의 자유를 생각해 봅시다.
인권은 옹호하며 사유재산권은 거부하는 것은 표현의 자유는 인정하되 모든 언론은 국가가 소유해야 한다는 모순된 입장입니다.
표현의 자유가 보장되기 위해서는 무언가 특별한 것이 필요한 게 아닙니다.
표현할 수 있는 장소를 빌릴 권리, 자유롭게 출판할 권리 같은 사유재산권 보장이 필요할 뿐입니다.
이처럼 표현의 자유는 경제적 자유가 실현되어야 비로소 실현될 수 있습니다.
사유재산권은 자유를 행사하는데 바탕이자 기준입니다.
5. Private property rights and human rights
Private property rights and human rights are inextricable.
Only when private property rights are guaranteed can human rights be guaranteed.
In effect, private property rights and human rights are the same thing.
Consider the classic human right, freedom of expression.
Embracing human rights but rejecting private property rights is a contradictory stance that recognizes freedom of expression but says all media should be owned by the state.
Freedom of expression doesn't require anything special.
It just needs to be protected by private property rights, such as the right to rent a place to express oneself and the right to publish freely.
Thus, freedom of expression can only be realized when economic freedom is realized.
Private property rights are the foundation and basis for exercising freedom.
