An 8-month-old baby had her life saved by military police from the 27th Battalion of the PMDF on Saturday afternoon (8) after choking on maternal milk and arriving unconscious at the battalion's headquarters in Recanto das Emas. Around 1pm, a car entered the battalion's parking lot at high speed. Inside the vehicle, a desperate woman was carrying her daughter in her arms, showing no signs of breathing. Noticing the gravity of the situation, soldier Eliabe Alves, who was on duty at the 27th BPM, immediately began the disengagement maneuver with the support of other military personnel present. Thanks to the quick and precise action of the police, the baby started breathing again before the arrival of the Military Fire Department team, which took over the care and sent the child to specialized medical treatment. Soldier Eliabe Alves, recently graduated from the PMDF's Praça Course, was praised for his performance. According to the corporation, the episode is an example of the technical preparation and dedication of military police officers in their mission to protect and save lives.
