I still hear FUD from people that think miners, big corporations or a few developers control Bitcoin. These people either weren’t around for the Blocksize War in 2017, don’t understand its lesson or are just trying to push their own shitcoin or agenda.
The 2017 UASF (User Activated Soft Fork - BIP 148) showed the world that users and node runners - us plebs - hold the true power. Mining giants like Bitmain and a few select developers tried their hardest with their enormous influence to steer Bitcoin’s path, but the plebs, us hardcore independent node runners, enforced SegWit and proved decentralisation reigns supreme. #Bitcoin #UASF
