Epictetus, a priest, and Astion, his disciple, fearlessly preached Christ in Scythia during Diocletian's reign. Arrested for converting pagans and destroying idols, they refused to renounce their faith despite torture. Miracles occurred: idols crumbled at their prayer, and wounds healed instantly. Their steadfastness led many to Christ. Finally, they were beheaded, becoming martyrs for their unwavering devotion.
