Where I live is dangerously beautiful. I love it here, but it is a property that you must always be aware of your surroundings. Bears, wolves, coyotes, bull moose, bobcats, and mysterious creatures that make sounds which will send shivers down your spine are my neighbors and tenants. My wife is convinced that sasquatch live in these woods too, but I am still on the fence about that one.
Here on my homestead you always have to be ready to defend yourself against at a moments notice. I've dealt with bears many times. Which is why I am always armed whenever I step foot outside. It is one of the safest and most dangerous places to live.
What I would like is to move farther north and find a nice piece of cleared farming land to develop a new farm on later this year. This is what I am working towards right now. That way I don't have to be as defensive whenever I walk out my door. I would rather be greeted by cows than bears any day of the week.
