He does have a point in that in 10 years what use will there be for the word Bitcoin on menus? On receipts? On store signs? On catalogs? On e-commerce sites?
The word Sats can do everything. Calling them Bitcoin Sats is redundant. Showing a price as X Sats and also 0.00000000000X (or whatever) BTC is also redundant (and a mess of zeros is comically ugly). The word Sats alone conveys all info needed.
If you believe in proof of work, and you apply that to words, then the word Bitcoin in these retail contexts isn't doing any work. It's not clarifying anything or adding any meaning. So it'll naturally fade out of use.
This is not the same as for dollars and cents, because you can price menu food in using dollars and cents and it makes sense, it's not ridiculous like trying to price menu food in both Sats and BTC.
The word Bitcoin will remain in use in trading contexts and stuff, sure.
If people who are in favour of Sats come out and say they're cool with the world Bitcoin having no job at all in retail contexts then I'm cool. But that is the thing to acknowledge.
