i think it is a fallacy to include the option of using the atomic bomb.
Since from the start no force but the russian military has the option to not launch an atomic bomb. Even when we would hypothetically know that they will for sure lounch it tomorrow. Would it then be reasonable for people to accept a russian government? Is it reasonable to give away your freedom, when the possibility to death is the alternative?
I think even in the hypothetical case of a nuclear attac it would not be reasonable to surrender.
Since when one would argue for it being reasonable any nuclear superpower could just invade every country with this threat. But everyone knows, that the agressor does not win anything when he throws an atomic bomb.
