Yes I agree, that many people firxt choose a narrative and then follow all evidence to proofe this narrative true and dismiss all evidence that points against it as wrong.
I wouldmsay it is important to have the character to not identify with a conclusion. But rather question my conclusions critically and to be happy to find new evidence.
Because in the end it is only the own ego, that is hurt, when a cerntain theory one was thinking to be true is falsified.
But we are free to not make them part of our identity in the first place. I see my self as an observer. And all I want to find is the truth. independent of my believes of yesterday.
