In 1475, Stephen the Great faced the Ottoman Empire at Vaslui. Outnumbered, his army, fueled by faith and patriotism, achieved a decisive victory. Before the battle, Stephen prayed fervently, promising to dedicate a church to God for each victory. After Vaslui, he built many churches, a testament to his devotion.
