Fwiw, there's a book you should download from annas-archive.li (free) to have for your history that most ppl didn't know about.
It's called "Sykewar" by Daniel Lerner 1971.
It details the underhanded military psychological warfare the US did to Germany during WW2 to create this mess.
Not just German heritage ppl should read, everyone should so you know what they're thinking about when they do this crap.
