The Virgin Mary, chosen by God, conceived Jesus through the Holy Spirit. Visited by Archangel Gabriel, she humbly accepted her role, declaring herself the Lord's servant. Her "yes" changed history. She visited her cousin Elizabeth, who recognized Mary as the mother of God. Mary bore Jesus in Bethlehem and nurtured him through childhood. She stood by him during his crucifixion and was present with the apostles after his resurrection.
